Wilhelm Drach’s abstractly figural expressions stand in contrast to Filippo Borella’s formally constructive compositions made of coloured zip fasteners. The zip – a timeless interface of the fashion industry, a symbol for flexibility, for the unlimited interchangeability of external appearances – is confronted with anonymous, abstract intimacy. At the same time, this intimate quality emanates in particular from the colourful brushstroke ... an interplay of complementary possibilities.
